LED lights and heating controls inside a campervan

Lights & Heating

Always Cosy

Campervan lighting is essential for enhancing the appearance and atmosphere of your van. By selecting the right lighting and planning carefully, you can create the perfect ambience for any occasion, adding both style and value to your van.

Camping in the UK means dealing with diverse weather conditions, even during summer. To extend your trips year-round and increase comfort, consider installing a night heater—an excellent solution for staying warm and cosy.

Lighting

In all our conversions, we use high-end LED lights that are about five times more energy-efficient and brighter than equivalent halogen lights.

Our standard lighting setup includes 5-7 LED spotlights, typically arranged in zones. Each spotlight contains 19 LEDs, providing a well-lit and bright living space.

Enhance areas with additional lights where needed, ideal for tailgates and wardrobes. Consider adding an elevating roof bed touch light for a subtle, relaxing glow before bedtime. Flexible neck reading/map lights are also available to illuminate without obstructing vision.

Set the perfect ambiance with strip lighting and colour-changing LEDs.

A remote control for dimming the lights is available upon request.

Heating

When selecting a night heater, you'll typically encounter two main options: gas or diesel.

Gas heaters are generally more economical and tend to operate with less noise, though they necessitate a gas system installation. (This can be upgraded to an LPG refillable system for greater cost efficiency.)

On the other hand, diesel heaters come at a slightly higher cost but eliminate the need for a gas system by drawing fuel directly from your tank. Additionally, it's feasible to mount a diesel heater externally, conserving space and reducing noise levels.

Regardless of your choice, all night heaters come equipped with a Carbon Monoxide (CO) detector to ensure your safety and peace of mind.

Various optional features are available for night heaters, including 7-day timers and remote control via a dedicated app.

While retrofitting a night heater is feasible, it's most advantageous to incorporate it during your full conversion. This allows for seamless integration into your furniture layout for optimal functionality.
